Bathroom

Here is our full bathroom. It's the only shower in the house. The fish wall paper has been there for years and years. After that fish theme we went with another fish theme (see shower curtain).

There's been some little changes and updates over the years.
Same tub since the house was built in 1990.
So my parents decided it was time to redo the bathroom.
We have been spending a lot of time at Home Depot. The twins like the race car carts.
The twins took their last bath in the tub.

Then the remodel began. Luis' cousin is doing the job over the next couple of weeks. So we are without a shower in the house. At least we have our Tios/Neighboors to let us use theirs.

Bangs

So Lili comes into my room where me and Angelica and Felix are with scissors in her hand. Me and Angelica take them away from her and find out she can now open the drawer in the desk. So we are all hanging out. I walk out of my room and see hair on the hallway floor. I go to Lili and look through her hair and see that she cut it right in the front. So I decide that she is going to have bangs now. Here is a picture of how it turned out. You can see where she is missing a section of the bangs. At least its not like the time my older sister cut off my eyelashes.

In February Angelica had a orchesrta performance and had to say bye to her borrowed violin. Tata is getting her a new one that is a little bit bigger than the one from school.

We celebrated the new year at my parents house in SB. It was a "blue" party and everyone wore blue clothes. My cousin brought all his DJ equipment and Felix tried it out.

Christmas

Christmas Eve was spent at Nana and Tata's house, as usual. Tia Angie brought cookies for the kids to decorate.

Santa came and Felix was shy with him.
Lili was terrified and cried.
Once Santa left the kids had fun playing with Sophia. Angelica spent Christmas Eve with her Dad and family.

This is our metal tree we have been using. Hopefully next year we will get a real tree.

We picked up Angelica Christmas morning and headed out to SB.

We woke everyone up to open presents...

Later we stopped by Tia Elaine's work. The twins liked playing office.

December at home

December we got ready for Christmas and did things at home.

Lili's hair is getting long.

We spiked Felix's hair and put Angelica's Harry Potter glasses on him and he looked like Chicken Little.
Felix invented a way to tow a scooter.
Angelica is getting better and better at the violin.

The kids played together.

And even made a gingerbread house together. Lili was most interested in eating the candy.

Birthday Parties

On Saturday we went to our nephew, Angel's birthday party.

The kids had fun with a clown that made balloons and face painted. I stayed far away with my back turned to him durning his show. Felix was surrounded by girls.

Cassandra and Angelica were cats.

On Sunday the girls got ready and we went to a birthday party for one of my best friend's niece.

It was a princess party and Celeste turned 3.

Today Chone had a soccer game at 8am. In the first quarter she almost got 2 goals. She was so close! In the second quarter it started to sprinkle with lightning in the distance. I started to take down the banner just when they stopped all the games. As soon as I got everything and everyone packed up it and started walking to the car, it started to POUR! We all got soaked! By the time we got to the car the twins were both crying and me and Chone had water dripping down our faces! Once everyone was buckled in and all my stuff (banner, chair, stroller) was in the trunk, it calmed down and turned into a sprinkle. If only it would have waited 5 more minutes for us to get in the car. The rest of the games for the day were cancelled. We were just one of the lucky teams who got to play at 8 in the morning for not even half the game. The picture is what Chone looked like, except with ribbons in her longer hair.

Halloween

We went trick or treating around part of the neighborhood. The twins had fun, but were to shy to say trick or treat, even though they were saying it at home.

Swimming Lessons

Chone started swimming lessons at the YMCA. After her near drowning experience at Bass Lake last year, it was time. There is only one other little girls in her "class". Her teacher is very nice.
By the second lesson she was swimming on her own!

Fun Weekend

The whole family went to Lisa & Joey's for Lisa's Birthday weekend. We had dinner at a mexican restaurant in Palm Springs on Saturday night. Happy Birthday Lisa!!!On Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch. It was a nice hot day and there was lots to do there. There was even a monkey shaking hands and taking money!

The kids played on games, climbed the haystack, and Phi even rode a horse.
Me and Lisa watched as the guys took the kids into the petting zoo.

It was such a fun weekend the girls crashed on the way home!

Chone does flash cards to study math facts as part of homework. Of course the twins hear and see her saying numbers to me as I hold up cards. Today I found Felix going through the cards and saying random numbers with each card he picked up. It was so cute!

Since Chone's birthday is only 3 days after the twins', we had a triple birthday family party. My sister, Elaine made a cake for each birthday boy/girl. They came out SO awesome! We had a spongebob themed party and it was lots of fun! Thanks for everyone who came to celebrate with us.

My babies turned 2 today and are sooo not babies anymore! Here they are licking the batter of their cakes I made them.

Tia Elaine came over and we went to Chuck E Cheese's for some pizza and fun.
Between 3 adults and 3 kids we had lots of tickets to get prizes with.
At home we sang and helped them blow out the candles. Felix's smile disappeared as soon as he touched the flame on his candle and found out that fire is hot.

Trash Day

The Fair

We went to the fair and had a great time. Of course we ran into family there. We saw Tio Grande, Nina Grace, Pepe, Erika, & Marissa.

We tried to put the twins on some little rides, but after a spin on the helicopters, and they both cried thier eyes out, we decided to try again next year. I was so glad Luis got on with them and not me!

Me & Chone got went on a fun house with the mirror maze and a twisty slide.

Chone is like me and likes fair rides. She got on that boat that goes back and forth and your stomach goes up to your throat. She is the one with her mouth wide open from screaming!

Luis was so excited when we saw Obama! He just had to take a picture of him. We actually saw McCain too, but Chone was to shy to get a picture with him.

Biggest I've Ever Seen

Vacation Laundry

Vacation at Bass Lake

It was time for vacation. We headed out to our beloved Bass Lake.

Felix and Lili enjoyed thier time with cousin The Phi.

It was my Dad's birthday while we were out there. Party Time!

Of course we took the kids to the Children's Museum.

Even though I got sick from allergies and a sinus infection because of a near by fire, I had a great time!

Luis' favorite part was the jet ski.

Our goal for next time is for Chone to know how to swim with the fishies that were biting her toes.

We grilled some food on my Dad's grill that's in the back yard and sat down for dinner. Luis gave the twins a piece of a grilled mexican onion to eat. Well, they decided that they went better on their fingers than in their mouths.

You may have noticed we took the trays off the highchair and booster chair. It is working out okay so far, except when they use their feet to push away from the table. And the mess. And playing with their trays. And Felix likes to put his feet up on the table when we are eating, and of course Lili copies him. So we are constantly saying "Feet Down" while we eat dinner. I guess it's not working out okay so far!

I guess I've just gotten used to the craziness of twins and see it as normal now.

Haircuts

Felix got his head shaved (it's the fastest haircut to do since he is crying for us to stop from the first cut), and Lili got her first haircut ever. I cut about 3 inches off and, of course, saved some. I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself! She looks like a kid now, not a baby anymore :(

Awards Assembly

Elaine came down to go with me to Chone's awards ammembly. I knew she was getting a certificate for being in choir. Here is a blurry picture of the principal giving Chone her certificate...

Then we went out for sushi while Chone finished the day at school. The twins liked the fountain, and Tia Elaine gave them coins to throw in. The only rule was they could not wish for more twins.

My 28th Birthday

My birthday started out with me making the kids pancakes, since Luis was at work. As we ate pancakes, I looked around the table and saw how lucky I was to have my 3 wonderful kids! Then my parents took me and Chone out shopping, while Luis and Elaine stayed home with the twins and played guitar hero. I got a lot of cute tops and shorts for the summer (Bass Lake). Thank you Mom & Dad!

Then we met up with the whole family and had dinner at Don Cuco's. Thanks Lisa, Joey, and Day-day for coming so far to celebrate with me, and for the cute purse and shot glass! It was the first time I have gone there, and the food and drinks were good. Thanks Mom & Dad for dinner! Then we came home for this awesome cake Elaine made for me. Everything is edible and make by her. Amazing, huh! Thanks Elaine! The kids played with the dog and the adults played guitar hero. Tia Mary, Tio Miguel, Mikey and Bubbs came over too. Thank you guys for the beautiful necklace! Then me and Chone when to get my free rental at Hollywood Video (since it was my birthday) and watched 27 dresses while the twins and Luis went to bed. When we finally went to sleep it wasn't my birthday anymore, but I had a great day!

Final Choir Performance

Chone performed in her last choir concert of the year at the "Art Festival", which is like the end of the year carnival for the school. I got her a rose for all her singing and getting up early 2 days a week for choir.

Painting Outside

We are trying to paint the whole backyard wood fence this summer. The twins did a little work on it today. It was the first time they have ever painted. They did a great job and loved it!

Last year I bought some lilys for the back yard and most of them died, like everything else I plant. This spring one of them came back on it's own. I found a few more sprouting bulbs and replanted them, but those are slowly growing back. But here is my first lily this spring. I was so happy to see it today when we went outside.

Rosie & Gio's Wedding

Chone was the ring bearer. She has been a flower girl, but this was her first time being the ring bearer. She did great!

When I saw Woman tears came to my eyes! She looked beautiful and so happy.
The happy couple just married (again).

At the reception I saw my twin cousins dancing together. I took a picture so I can show my twins when they are older. I hope they grow up to be close like Pepe and Erika are.
After being crazy (just like Pepe) and running around the wedding, Felix knocked out and we knew it was time to go home.
The wedding was great! It turned out so nice Woman! I can't believe we are both married! Now you have to have twins, too.

Trampoline

Lili had a nasty ear infection 2 weeks ago. She wasn't in any pain, but she had fluid coming out of her ear. I took her to the Dr and got meds for her and it cleared it up. We went back today to see if she had any damage, like a hole in her eardrum. Luckly, the Dr didnt see any damage. She said if there was a hole, it was healing itself already.

Lili is 26 1/2 pounds now and 31 inches tall.

Felix is 25 pounds and 31 3/4 inches tall.

Lili is still heavier, and Felix is still taller.

Fixing the Fence

It was windy again and the fence started to fall again. So we went to Micheal's to return a frame, where we saw Mary. Then we went to Home Depot for fence fixing supplies, where we saw Miguel and Mikey. I thought, now we just need to see Bubbs, Chris, & Aerica.

Felix thought he could fix the fence and picked up the drill. It was cute he knew what it was for.

While the boys fixed the fence, I pushed Lili on the swing.
We love being outside with this weather!

Chone's 1st Softball Game

We had to be there at 8am for pictures. It was sooo cold! Here she is in her uniform (and sweater).

Here is the whole team. We have 2 coaches, 2 assistants, and 3 team moms!
We played against the Golden Girls, but none of them were old or lived in Miami. (lol) Here she is up next to bat.

I made some cupcakes in ice cream cones for Chone's 1/2 birthday.

They decided the waters were their table and made chairs to sit around it. Perfect size.
At Woman's Bridal Shower, Felix went around to everyone who had cake and stood there till he was fed some. He had a lot of cake!

Felix got on the table and started to eat my lunch. He didn't seem to mind it had chile in it.
Before a bath, since they were naked, I had them sit on their potties for the first time without clothes on. Lili actually peed in it!!! After this picture, she picked up the bowl part and threw the pee across the bathroom! Nice one!
For the twin's 1/2 birthday (they are a year and a half now!) they had half a chocolate chip muffin. So Yummy, So Yummy!I dyed Chone's streaks "Flame", which we thought was red, but it turned out orange. It still looks good. She has her first softball game next weekend!
Luis got sick, again! He is feeling better now.
The twins are talking more and signing more. I need to learn new signs to teach them.

Valentine's Gift

When Chone got home from school today, she found a package for her and the twins on the porch. We gathered on the rug to open it.

They got embroidered pillow cases from Tia Lisa.

Lili's had butterflies and flowers.

Chone's had cupcakes, ice cream, and pie.

Felix's had trucks, cars, and a doggie.

They loved them! Chone slept with hers last night, but I got to get the twins some pillows for thiers. Lili uses hers to cover her legs or as a hat.

Just as I'm thinking how well behaved my children are... How I can go to the grocery store at 8:30 in the morning after dropping off Chone at school, in the rain with the twins and they do fine. How they can play around the house most of the day without bugging me to much. Then I turn to see Felix on the kitchen table!

What! How did he get up there!

He pulled out the chair, climbed on it, and got on the table. Great!! How soon till he falls off? How soon till Lili can do it too, and pushes him off?

Streaks & Cake

Chone got the streaks she wanted. Since her step-mom is a hairstylist, I let her do it. It looks good, but is already fading. I told her we could go look for some Punky Color (hair dye that comes in all crazy colors that I used to use as a teenager). She made another cake. If you can't tell, it says I heart earth.

Just Like Daddy

Luis has been home sick, and Felix has been loving it! He forgets about me the second he sees his Dad. He follows him around the house and always wants to be where he is.

He also wants to be just like him. Luis finished his coffee, then it was Felix's turn.

Whatever! He will be my shadow as soon as Luis is back to work, until he gets home after work that is.

Since there is nothing wrong with boys playing with dolls, I got the twins baby dolls for Xmas. Here is some pics of them playing with their babies. Lili likes to give them kisses, cuddle them up close to her check, then give them to someone else or throw them on the floor. The cruelness always finds a way out in that one!

Deal of the Year!

The K-mart closest to us is closing, so we went to check out the deals and maybe find a dresser for Chone. Well we got this entertainment center instead. FOR $10!!!!

They must have put it in the computer wrong cause it was regularly $199. We stayed up late putting it together, but we did it. I got to put some pics on the top shelves.

We also got a 5 shelf bookshelf for the garage, but we'll put that together when Luis is done with the drywall in there.

Me and Chone finally made our gingerbread Nativity scene.

It was lots of fun making it! I put to much color in the frosting for the peach, so that is why the baby Jesus looks like a jack-o-lantern.

We rang in the new year with the Lerma's and the Phi going pee pee on the potty at midnight. The kids were running around as the adults watched a movie and had some pizza, drinks, and chocolate cream pie. It was a nice new years eve.

Tia Elaine came over to babysit so me and Luis could go out to dinner and a movie that she got us gift cards for as our Xmas present. She blew up the ball pit she got the twins for their Xmas present.
