BASS LAKE

On Friday evening we met everyone in SB and spent the night. On Saturday morning we headed out. Here is Luis with his coffee for the long trip. He didn't act excited, but I knew he was. It was going to be the twins and his first time ever at Bass Lake. (This is my 19th time I believe.)

We stopped at a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere, but it ended up being the place where James Dean had died. There was a memorial outside the place.

We had to buy these "neck wings" for the twins. We couldn't just let their little heads hang for 5 hours. They did good and slept most of the way. I had to put a towel over the window cause the sun was burning Felix's leg.

We all got there safe and settled in. The next morning Lili hung out with Tia.

Felix slept in with Daddy.

We had a great day at the lake, then partied it up that night.

The next morning we took the little one hour hike. Here is a picture of all of us minus Elaine, who took the picture, and minus Tommy cause he wasn't there yet.

The first few days the twins weren't to sure about the water and sand. Then they got used to it and enjoyed it..

Here is me and the kids in front of Ducey's. We had to go get wrist bands cause we rented a boat. They had to put Lili's wrist band on 3 times cause it kept falling off.

Felix was crawling on the sand, but when he got to the rocky parts he wouldn't let his knees touch the ground.

Chone got creative and drew a girl in the sand.

By Friday, the kids were all getting in the water on their own. To bad we were leaving the next morning.

Chone had gotten this super sour liquid at a store. Her and Georgie kept sneaking it into everyone's drinks. Luis and I were the first victims, and it looked like a Leprechaun peed in our Coronas.

Here we are ready for the trip home.

It was a little hard with the twins being so young still, but at least I wasn't breasfeeding them any more. We still had an awesome time! We did other things I didn't get pictures of, like bowling, miller's landing, boat rides, and some shopping in Pines Village.

Thank you Mom & Dad for another awesome vacation in Bass Lake! I have years and years of memories in Bass Lake and I'm glad my kids will be able to have some, too. And Luis had a great time and much needed time away from work. I think this was his first real vacation.

Water Park

After we went to the DMV to get some tags for one of the cars, I took Chone to the water park they have right next to Mom's old work. She is the one in the yellow & green suit. She was shy at first, but had fun.

The twins just watched all the other kids there. It was like they had never seen other kids before!!

I'M DONE!!

I can't believe I am finally done! Don't get me wrong. I loved that I was able to feed the twins for 11 months. I stopped with Chone at about 9 months cause she got teeth and started biting. Since Lili had teeth at 4 months, I stuck through the biting with the twins, but after mastasis 2x, and both of them still waking up multiple times to breastfeed at night.... it was time. The last couple months they were having more and more formula. I tried to wean them slowly cause they were so addicted to breastfeeding. They have also been slowly weaning to whole milk and doing good with it. They have their own room now, and are sleeping through the night! I wake up in the morning and can't believe I got to sleep all night! It's amazing!! They are really turning into toddlers. No walking yet, but they still get into everything! I guess the next step is to transition them from bottle to sippy cups. I'll wait until after Bass Lake for that one. (8 more days!)

New Toys

I guess they are bored with their toys cause they have found some new ones to play with.

This is what happens when we are low on pj's cause i need to do laundry. These were actually Chone's, past down to Phi, past down to Lili (and I guess Felix, too!).

3rd of July

Here we have fireworks on the 3rd. Luck for us, we can see them from our house. Here is Chone and her long time friend Ryan watching. (They are too cute together! They have been friends since they were babies. They play perfectly together and have never gotten into an argument.)

Felix sat with Nana (my Mom) and watched.

Lili watched them with Tata for a bit. She would blink every time they would "POP". See her eyes closed. It was funny, but she cried a little cause she was scared.

Morning Ritual

The twins have been doing this every morning when they wake up. They love to look outside and listen to Chris' music next door.

Can anyone say braces! LOL!

Bottles

It only took them until they were 10 months to learn how to hold their own bottles!! But it's not their fault, they breastfed forever before they got to try a bottle. (i really mean forever!)

Congratulations

My friends Marylu & Christian got married! I was so glad I was there on their special day.

1. i have three kids and i've only been pregnant twice. yes, i had twins.

2. i have mastasis AGAIN! (boob infection) it hurts, but i feel better now. i really need to stop breastfeeding.

4. I don't buy soda, chips (other than tortilla), candy (other than chocolate), or cookies. I try to keep my house junk food free.

7. It was actually harder when Chone was a baby than it is with the twins. People ask me how I can handle two, and all I can think of is the mother's of triplets.

I love Costco

I don't love how we spend so much $$ there, but I do love that they have carts for two kids. This is the first time we used it with the twins. I was afraid they would beat each other up, but they kind of just leaned on each other.

Dr. My Cousin Patty

Here are the twins at UCLA. Maybe one of them will go there one day, maybe both :)

And the graduate herself. I still can't believe we have a Dr. in the family! We were all so excited for her. It was a beautiful day for a graduation outdoors. Congrats Patty, we knew you could do it!!!

Afterwards we all headed out for pizza. Here is the kids table. I guess the Phi is no longer a baby and is officially a kid now. They grow so fast :(

No he didn't!

I guess Luis was tired of Felix's hair being to long and out of control, and me trying to comb it to the side, so he was going to cut it. They are in the bathroom and I hear "oops". Well a while later Luis calls me and this is what I see!!! OMG! (I thought he was just going to cut the sides and leave the top a little longer)

Felix seemed to like it and he did look so cute!

And my poor Lili, with all this hair :( I still couldn't convince Luis to shave her head too.
