First Communion

It was a great day and we celebrated with family and friends at home afterwards. Then Chone went with her Dad to have a BIG party at her Grandma's house. They had a DJ, a three tier cake, and she got $202 cash in gifts! She hasn't even brought all her gifts home yet.

A Tooth!

I can't believe I forgot to post that Felix finally got a tooth. I think it was the 14th that I noticed that he finally had cut a tooth. It's the bottom middle on the left. It has been growing out slowly, but you can't really see it yet. My little boy got a haircut and a tooth. He's not a baby anymore:( He even says "Mama" when he cries and claps. They are growing so fast! He is almost crawling. He even tries to climb up on things. I see a lot of bumps and bruises in the future.

He only likes to take 15-20 minute naps about twice a day. He fights sleep and when he finally can't stay awake any longer he falls asleep anywhere. Here's some more pictures of what Felix has been up to...

Crawling, but only over each other

The babies are almost crawling. They can do the army crawl, roll, and Felix gets up on his hands and knees. The other day we found him going over Lili to get a toy he wanted.

We are using a mat my Mom & Dad bought for Chone for the babies to play on. It has already saved Felix from hitting his head on the hardwood floor a few times. They like looking at the Disney Princesses. It's funny when they try to pick up something in the pictures.

Easter

We ended up celebrating Easter at my Tia/Nina Grace's house. It was good to see everyone, even though we were all in pain over Roman passing away. We celebrated his birthday with cake and presents. I miss him so much already.

Oh yeah! Pepe spiked Felix' hair with gel. He looked so cute. Now he looks more like Pepe than Gaby Jr.

Haircut

I was sick of hearing how cute my twin girls were, and his hair was starting to get into his eyes, so I let Luis cut Felix's hair on Easter morning.

He wasn't scared of the machine or anything. I held him and Luis shaved all his beautiful hair off. I thought it would be darker, but it ended up looking brown.

We thought he looked like my cousin's son, Matthew. It took me about a week to get used to seeing him with his haircut.

In Loving Memory

April 7, Saturday morning my little cousin Roman passed away. It was the day before his 20th birthday. He had muscular dystrophy. Since that morning when I got the phone call, I have just felt different. It's as if a piece of my heart is broken. I know that our family will never be the same. We have never had a death in our big family until now. We all knew it was something that would eventually happen, but I don't think anyone ever could imagine the day it would. It has been hard, especially the rosary and funeral, but at the same time I am glad he is with God and is no longer in pain. I am so thankful that Roman was with us for so long. I watched him grow from a baby to a man. I had gone with the kids to visit him a week before he passed away. Roman loved babies! I remember when Chone was a baby he would always hold her and kiss her. I knew he would want to see the twins, so we stopped by. I'm so glad we went to see him that day and see his smile as he kissed the twins and took pictures with them. Roman will always be a part of our family and never be forgotten. It makes me feel good to know my babies have our angel Roman watching over them. Rest in peace Roman. I love you and you will always be in my heart!

We Got Married!!

Pony Tails

Lili got her hair in two pony tails. Now she can see!

Time to eat!!

We had a booster seat, but our table is only for 4, so we bought a high chair. We got them carseats also, cause I hate infant carseats!! But we haven't put them in the car yet.

I gave them some biter biscuits. They made a big mess with them, but they took a bath afterwards. Lili can bite pieces off, so we have to watch them with these.

Massage

I don't think this is what they meant when they said baby massage!

What's with this table?

The babies like to scoot/roll/crawl around all over the floor now. These were on different days, but they have both found their way under this table we have in between two couches. It was funny when Felix went under their because I asked Luis, "Where's Felix?" We were looking around for him, then I realized he was under the table. As long as I don't find Chone under there next!

A Ring

We went to look at rings for Luis. I have mine, and it's paid off, and we want to get married by court very soon. Then I realized, Luis doesn't have a ring! We only went to 2 jewlery stores, but this is what he liked. It is white gold, even though it looks yellow in the picture. It's engraved with crosses and a swirly design. I like it, but we are going to keep looking

Great Party

For my Tio Grande's 50th birthday they had a party at the park. It was a great party. They had a western theme and a lot of people dressed the part. Felix tried a strawberry for the first time. One of my cousins did some dancing for her Dad, with one of her cousins. It was awesome! She learned the dance in 1 week!

The twins got to try on some cowboy hats. Of coure Lili cried because of her stranger anxiety, which is normal for her age. She only cried once in a while cause we were outside. My cousin Meli wanted to hold her, and she was fine! Meli must have the magic touch, cause Lili was as calm and happy as can be with her. My niece, the Phi, also likes Meli. She is usually shy around people she doesn't know, but she hugs Meli and "talks" to her in her crazy language. Meli even got the Phi to say Mama, and she never says that for anyone!


Lili got to try the slide. (Right after we took the picture she threw up on Luis' arm. That's Luis in his cowboy gear.) The twins didn't really have western wear, but they wore their Levi's pants & jacket.

First Communion Coming Up

Chone is going to make her first communion on April 28th. I took these pictures of her with the stuff her Grandma brought her from Mexico. We just used a dress she already had, but are going to go shopping for one soon. We also have to shop for the babies baptism outfits.

Two Peas in a Pod

The twins are starting to interact with each other. They smile at each other, laugh or scream to each other, and pull each other's hair. I put them down for a nap and bedtime at opposite ends of the crib. Lately I have been finding them next to each other when I go check on them when they finally fall asleep. Later that day when they were putting on pj's for bed, Felix tried to roll over Lili. (notice her hand under him) She hugged him, hit him, and tried to bite him several times. Since she has teeth, I try not to leave them next to each other cause she bites everything she can get her teeth on. She hasn't gotten him yet, but she is getting quicker at moving around on the floor.

Weekend

After visiting Big Nana & Tata, we went to stay with Nana (my Mom). The twins used the Phi's old swing and booster seat to eat their meals.

We spent the night and the next day we did Art Walk by the beach and went to eat at Longboards. It was fun to be in SB. I felt I hadn't been there for a long time. I need to remember to take pictures when we are out at places. (I have a horrible memory)
