6 months, 6 teeth, 8 shots, & 4 sickies

This is how the twins come home from their Dr. visits. Knocked out after the tramatic experience of getting shots. At least they don't have to go back until they are 9 months old.

The twins are 6 months old now, so they had to get their 6 month shots. They each got 4 shots!! Of course they cried, but it wasn't too bad. Lili is 15 lbs 2 oz and Felix is 15 lbs 5 oz. When I took Chone to the Dr. the other day she weighed in at 58lbs. She finally gained some weight.

Lili's 6th tooth cut through her gums on Monday, finally! It was starting to really bug her, therefore, she was starting to really bug me with all her fussing! Felix still has none.

All of us, except Luis, have colds/coughs. It started with me, then I gave it to all my kids. The other night Felix's mocos were so bad that we tried to use that suction thing they give you in the hospital, and he FREAKED OUT!!! They hate it when we clean their noses, so I can't wait until we are all better. Chone's pink eye is clearing up, but she is still taking the drops, which sting.

Patio Done!!!

Our house (outside) has been under construction for a while now. My Mom said we have the ugliest yard in the neighborhood! Which is true: no grass, no plants, tools and cement mixers. The wall between our and Mary's house is done, the cement around the side and back is done, and now the tile on the patio is done! It looks really nice. Now we need the cement for the BBQ/grill and some grass and some flowers, and a gate. I can't wait to have a yard Chone and the twins can play in. I think the flowers will be the funnest part, cause me and Chone get to do it. Chone's flower fundraiser couldn't have come at a better time.

Pink Eye on her 1/2 B-day

Chone has the pink eye! I guess since she's my kid, she would have jacked eye ever once and a while. We noticed it yesterday afternoon and it kept getting worse and worse. I put breastmilk on it (ever hear that one?) and it made more of the eye crap come out. Her left eye got a little swollen, so I took her to urgent care today. I asked the Dr. if they prescribed drops for infants if the babies get it, and she told me that for babies you can put breastmilk on it! I was surprised the Dr. recommended that, but she also said if they got it I should at least call the Dr. They prescribed Chone the eye drops and she can't go to school tomorrow. It's her 1/2 birthday today (7 1/2)! She was going to celebrate her birthday at school tomorrow. (The teacher celebrates the summer birthdays on their 1/2 birthday.) So now I guess she has to wait until Tuesday.

Ash Wednesday

We went to get "ashed", as Chone would say, tonight. To tell the truth, it felt weird going into our church, I hadn't been there for soooo long. We went to the Spanish service, so we saw half the people from our neighborhood and Chone was related to the other half. It felt good afterwards. I was inspired to take Chone to church on the Sundays that she is not with her Dad. She needs to learn what to do during the parts of church, you know, when to stand, sit, kneel, what to say and when. Her first communion is coming up fast. (April 28th I believe) As for lent, I an not starting till next Wednesday, cause I counted, and that would be 40 days before Easter. I want to give up yelling (especially at Chone), when I told her she said, "Ya, like that will happen!" Now you see why I yell at her!

Sleeping

I went out with NO KIDS!!!

These are my lovely friends that I hadn't seen in a while. We went out to dinner for Susy's Birthday. It was so nice to see them all and get to have some girl talk. I think we pretty much caught up on everyone's life. We are planning on getting together again next month, and I really hope we do. It was not hard to leave the twins since my Mom, Aunt, Sisters, and Luis were all home when I left. Luis said after everyone left Lili did not want to drink her bottle and cried. I think her tooth that is coming in (#6) was hurting her.

The Phi

I miss the Phi when we don't see her for a while. Everyone was over cause they are putting tile on the patio outside. Elaine put Blue's Clues on for her and she watched it on the computer with headphones. She is getting so big and is talking now. It still amazes me to hear her say real words that I can understand. I see the twins and I don't really remember much about the Phi at that age cause we didn't see her much. I'm glad we get to see her more now, and I can't wait until they move back to VC!

So Happy Together

Then the twins hung out on the floor in their matching outfits from, who else, Tia Elaine!

Long Nap

It was hot, so the twins were in diapers and socks most of the afternoon. They had their nap and Lili woke up after a while. Felix stayed asleep. About an hour later I went to check on him and this is how he was sleeping. I turned on the light and flashed the camera in his face a few time, and he still slept for another half hour. I guess sleeping in his diaper was really comfy for him.

Double Stroller

The new model of the stoller the twins got for Xmas came out, so I went and exchanged it. I liked this one better cause of the color and design inside the canopy. The twins love it!! We use it to pick up Chonie from the bus stop. They look so big in it. The twins say thanks for our new stroller Nana & Tata!!

MORE teeth

So over the weekend I noticed Lili has ANOTHER tooth. Her top middle right tooth cut through. So that makes 5! It looks like the other top middle one is coming in now. Felix is still drooling a lot and has his fingers in his mouth a lot, but still no teeth. Other than teeth, they are rolling around a lot. Lili loves to be on her stomach now. The mobility is starting!!

I Caught Up!

I finally caught up to the present! I hope you keep reading my blog to see what we have been up to and to see the kids grow. I promise to blog as much as I can. Enjoy!!!

More teeth!

I noticed you could see Lili's 2 bottom teeth in this picture. She got the first one the last week of December, the second one a week later. A week after that I felt 2 teeth on top that we didn't even know were coming in. They aren't the middle ones, but the ones next to those. So she has 4 teeth all together. But that's not all! The top middle ones are starting to come in. Through all this she has been pretty good. They come in pretty quick.

Felix has been drooling more, having fussy fits, and biting everything, but no swollen gums or teeth! His time will come.
